FEDERAL MINIMUM WAGE


The fair labor standard act (FLSA) contained several provisions 

that affected organization compensation systems. These include 

minimum wages, overtime time, record keeping and child labor 

restrictions. This act identifies two categories of employees i.e 

exempt and non exempt. Exempt employees are those who are

professional and manager. On the contrary non exempt employees 

receive certain protection under FLSA.
